I’m happy to see an original team returning to a project in their wheel house, but is this name coming close to some sort of infringement of any kind?

Eh hem. Eh hem. Excuse me, I seem to have a frog in my throat. Eh hem (this list is bullshit). Eh hem! [I’m just joking, not really complaining. Well ok, a tiny bit.]
Warmhearted and sympathetic make me want to fucking barf.
Yeah. Lol I wonder what the male equivalent poster words would be, probably something like:
Has anyone looked at the words mentioned in the body? This basically comes across as a 1950s woman stereotype in what kind of character the words add up to.
But nothing happens to the babies... No babies real or virtual die in a babality.
Look at the big Japanese companies that jumped into the hi-res age early...
I dunno though - without the platform and its publisher, those mods wouldn’t exist. Why can’t they be compensated as well? Or is it the percentage they’d get that was in issue?
cool - this sends a nice clear message from gamers who just play things to gamers who are so passionate about their hobby they gain a level of professionalism at something related even at the expense of their health, well-being, free time and fiscal sanity.
Yeah, it's not like this is something that requires getting a handle on like snaking, and it's not like it's a 100% free advantage either (it's also not nearly as big of a difference). Time spent in the air while jumping is time that can't be spent turning or reacting to things like approaching green shells.
Ah, the ol' self righteousness. The downfall of most people playing 'competitively'. The poor masses that cry out "Cheap!" or "Unintended!" when someone figures out a technique that, while maybe not what the developers thought about when implementing, definitely isn't creating an unfair advantage accessible only to a…
That's like saying Enemy Step in Devil May Cry 3 was a bad idea. It was an unintended mechanic that allowed someone to jump off an enemy and thus reset their combo, allowing for the infinitely amusing combos see in the TrueStyle tournaments. Enemy Step was so popular that they made it an acquirable skill in Devil May…
Its doesnt look that hard to learn tho? Anyone who is going to be serious about being competitive will learn the tricks... Thats like saying that dunking in basketball should have been banned when players first started doing it. Its way easier than shooting the ball from midrange so thats unfair to players who cant…
I don't mean it as being disrespectful. I mean, stop crying about advanced techniques and learn to play. Fighting games have unblockable combo's, shooting games have exploitable aiming characteristics on some guns. Pro's learn and noobs cry about them. With the chaos that is MK though your little 2 second boost isn't…
You probably hate wavedashing too, you filthy casual /sarcasm
Just curious how it "breaks" the game. "Breaks"—especially from a developer standpoint—generally refers to it not working. Not unbalanced, not in need of a tweak. Broken denotes that it doesn't work at all, or is logic breaking (ie: insta-win races without actually racing, etc).
so human ingenuity = game breaking?
exactly. It's not like he's teleporting to the finish line, it gets him a second or 2 extra time on his lap. Not that big of a deal.
I'm guessing you never played Halo 2. Quad Shotting, BXRing, BXBing, grenade jumping, and grenading weapon spawns all made that game absolutely incredible and extremely competitive. I still do understand your point though and it's ultimately up to the developers whether or not they want to leave it in the game.
That isn't good logic at all
