HNNNNGGGG

I don’t want to start an argument with you, but calling me “spoiled” is not terribly productive.

Turn off your motion controls? I can’t wait till people are getting crushed by teams of Chargers all using motion controls. But of course, maybe there will be more balance when we can actually customize gear.

It’s to the point where a black Challenger can’t even drive down the street anymore without being mistaken for some kind of criminal. These are sad times we live in.

I fail to see how a book is more interactive than a tv show, and I really have no idea as to why you wouldn’t feel good about yourself after watching six seasons of a tv show. I can totally see how you wouldn’t feel all that great if you did it in one sitting, but if you watched a couple of episodes here and there you

Well, they are making a new Zelda, doesn’t that count? If your point is just that it’s not out yet, sure, but that’s not that strange. Games have a period during their existence in which they’re not out yet :)

Isn’t this true of every platform at the moment? I can’t recall a single game that plays any different or is groundbreaking vs what we’ve had since the 80s to now.

Oh, honestly. You really need ‘interactivity’ for everything? It’s interactive when you notice details that become relevant later on (which often does happen in AT), watching it with friends, emotions experienced through fucking fantastic writing, etc. There’s only a few other shows I can think of along those lines

I must say, the whole “all cartoons are only for kids” mentality annoys me.

Eh that’s a subjective argument that I find quite flaccid. If all the games on the Wii U were HD remakes like Wind Waker, I’d be with you. But the other games you listed are sequels or new takes on known entities that feature new elements to varying degrees.

Other people have said it but it’s worth repeating: Super Mario 3D World is absolutely the latest entry in the main Mario franchise, and it is spectacular.

The thing is every developer has its perennial franchises that they’re expected to release sequels of. Halo, Uncharted, Resistance, Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, etc. Nintendo’s problem is they have so many of them. They have to release Mario and Zelda and Smash Bros and Mario Kart at least once per system because

I’m tired of people saying 3D World is not a “real” 3D Mario. There is hardly any difference between this game and other 3D Mario games, except:

AC: Happy Home Designer is day one for me.

Why don’t sequels count as games. I’d much rather play an amazingly solid sequel like DKR:TF than a boring or poorly designed “new experience.” The fact is, it’s been almost a decade since there has been anything that could legitimately called new in gaming. Everything is derivative and it will continue to be. So, why

Those are the masterpieces of the generation, and that takes time. We all want to play them, but for long time fans its a better feeling to know they’re not being rushed out. That said, Ninty has done an awesome job of keeping us entertained in the meanwhile.

3D World is definitely a “new” 3D Mario game, and it is absolutely amazing! One of the best Marios ever. I’d put it right up there with Super Mario World and Mario Galaxy 1&2.

This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the profile shot...
