Does anyone remember where the president of Nintendo took a big salary cut instead of giving themselves a bonus and laying off a ton of staff?

Man, that Link’s Awakening announcement hit me like a Oprah audience member who just got a free car or house or bees. I still play through the D-Generation X GBC version at least once a year.
You aren't missing anything.
“Meanwhile, The Daily Star’s story continues to be up on the paper’s site; the organization has been sued for (and settled over) libel charges a number of times over the years, but it’s still baffling that they thought they could get away with allegedly straight-up inventing an interview with one of Earth’s most…

There’s a saying, “To be African American is to be African without history and American without privilege.”
Don’t forget the most important part:
It’s not really any different than any other company story. I’ve been in two folding companies (thanks, real estate crash!) and this is how it goes. A few weeks of rumors, no information and then a swift boot out the door.
This is a little preview of what the next few years are going to look like for “Content creators”. Patreon, Twitch, Youtube, they’re all on a bubble and it’s been ready to pop for years
What a great article about how someone can have a variety of complex, nuanced—and, most importantly—evolving viewpoints about not just a divisive topic, but all the sexist/misogynistic baggage around that character. Thank you for writing this.
Well, the criticism is that the artificiality of the people clashes with the game’s desire to present a “real” space (which is best observable in the attention to details elsewhere, and especially in the spaces outside towns) It’s not that this is Not Real Enough™, it’s that the player-centric approach to NPC design…
That’s the only correct reaction to this announcement. “Buy me my own Switch so we can maintain our happy marriage.”
Eh, I prefer minimalism when it comes to controller designs. Putting pictures on a controller usually looks really gaudy. This is perfect for me. The Smash logo and white grips make it look really classy to me.
Right now it’s a video of a guy walking around for me and I’m seeing things like elevators with interact-able UIs, daylight, elevators, etc. and I’m pretty much in. The big thing is daylight, I’m so used to cyberpunk things being like night time all the friggin time.
Hello, Austrian here! Either the term is used very differently from where you come from (If you stem from a German-speaking country), or someone misinformed you, because that’s not what it means- a Geisterfahrer is a Geisterfahrer independently from the driver’s intent, solely by driving into the opposite direction of…
Not mention the New 3DS XL goes on sale from $150-$170 and the regular 2DS are still being moved at $80.
As a developer... the concern is install base. You can only sell as many copies of a game as there are people to sell it to. While the Switch is exploding in popularity, it in no way, shape or form has the same install base yet as the 3DS. So smaller publishers have to consider that when they’re putting out new games.…
Out of curiosity did you play Octopath? Just because Jason Schreier hasn’t liked a JRPG since Suikoden 2 doesn’t mean that Octopath was hot garbage. Outside of Jason’s doom and gloom I haven’t seen anyone nearly as down on the game and most of the online reaction has been between medium to very good.
