I'm sorry, this has The Decemberists written all over it. Were they unavailable?

The first "Staircase" was a great miniseries. I loved it. Does anyone know how I can watch this (I don't get sundance), besides the obvious (bittorrent)?

I really liked The Highwayman, by Alfred Noyes. Is that super uncool? It's a long poem, but wonderfully tragic and it has some great imagery.

I read O Pioneers! (the book) in elementary school. I remember it being a bummer, but good. I'd like to read it again.

You could do that before, at least if you were following the person. And then you could find out their likes to comments ratio, and compare their lives to yours. Note: I am worse than everyone.

He's a writer, and a traveler, and a cook, and he's done all of those things more than most people. He can be insightful about other cultures, and he uses food as a way to explore those cultures and their history. Why not him?

Also, as someone who's lived life pretty hard, I'm sure he knows that his health could go downhill quickly.

Someone mentioned that Ellen May and Dewey Crowe could get together and have the sweetest, dumbest, babies, but I think that the children of Roz and Dewey Crowe could give those babies a run for their money.
