Isn't Johnson the guy who, in the previous episode was being the general contractor from hell to the Mormons building their own space colony? That's kind of an interesting plot line, isn't it? Am I the only one who noticed it?

When the scene from the guys talking about eugenics cut to the church "confession" scene, the first person they showed confessing was sporting a very Hitler looking haircut. No moustache, but still… I thought that must have been deliberate, although Thackery himself looks fairly Hitlerish himself at times…
Don't touch that you'll blow this place up!
Invader Zim continues to inform discussions between me and my now semi-grown children. All three of us still occasionally shout out, "I was the turkey! I was the turkey all along!" Also, when any of us asks another a question, we immediately follow it with, "tell me!"
One thing the characters do on this show that I find very unique and emotionally moving is to constantly say the name of the person they are talking to. I don't think people generally do that in normal conversation, but it seems quite touching in a way I really cant explain.
Rectify, while totally not "the Brink," is quite excellent.
I do hope you'll be writing something about Dib. To feature him (it?) in your pet week drawing as a tease would be cruel.
For a show so hip to all things groovy, seems like these guys could at least tip their hats to Ian Drury, and that song he did in 1977 called, um, oh yeah, "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll." Seriously, no way they aren't aware of that one (which was pretty great).
And the year after this, Ali beat Joe Frazier in the "Thrilla in Manila." Another epic fight that captured world-wide attention. Ya don't see that in boxing anymore.
After you watch this, watch 'Nobody Knows' from 2004. Japan is very good about observing how miserable childhood can be.
Could someone please explain two scenes for me? 1) How does arriving on a beach save one from a horde of giant baboons? Do they not like getting their fur all sandy?
2) If you are unspooling wire, how does somebody pulling on that wire stop the unspooling process?
Thank you.
