73/74 Monte Carlo with the swivel buckets. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane.

I’ve always chosen vehicles with either character or high-performance capabilities. One of the few exceptions to that rule was a vehicle that had neither. It was sold to me by a family friend at a price I couldn’t refuse. A 1980 VW Dasher diesel station wagon. This vehicle was the antithesis of every vehicle I ever

I currently own a 79 naked Goldwing. These bikes are bulletproof reliable with minor maintenance. Change the timing belts every 5 years or 30,000 miles and take care of the oil changes and the engine will run forever. I’ve never had problems with my carbs because I use my bike regularly, but they can be an issue on a

If you’re not using your splitter guards, do you think they will fit my 81 Dasher diesel? That would simply make it more “dashing”

This reminds me of my younger days. Whatever car you had was your project car. I have done unusual things to a Buick Skylark 4 dr and several 69 & 70 Grand Prix’s. None were near the quality of Mr. Garcia’s build.  He knows what real car hobbyists are.  This is the roots of the car hobby, not investment purchasing.

I once bought an entire 1965 Falcon to get the left front wheel. ($75). It was a Cragar G/T in remarkably good condition I needed to complete a set.  I tried to buy just the wheel for $75 but the owner insisted that I take the entire car!

I admire the person that can take a car and restore it to the level of perfection that makes you feel as if touching it will lower it’s intrinsic value.  I will respect their wishes.  My personal preferences agree with yours.  I enjoy the sound my 52 year old Ford V-8 makes at 7,000 rpm.  I like climbing my 58 year
