So much for Tesla’s decade head start on EV tech...I guess the plaid is still the fastest 0-60 for now.

Here’s the article, not much detail

This is from August 2020 Carbuzz

I’m 54 and have never received something like this in any industry where I have worked. Look dueling anecdotes!

Currently on my first EV (Fiat 500e), Fiat put very little effort into converting the 500, it is the classic compliance car. If this is what a crappy little compliance EV is like, I can’t wait to get my hands on a good one. This is easily the most fun car to drive I have ever owned. My commute is all hills and surface

I’ve always felt the ‘gig economy’ would work better as a government run thing.  The problem has always been that I will pay one guy $5 to deliver my burger or drive me somewhere, but I won’t pay 2 guys $10. Take that profit motive away for one of the parties involved and I think it could work as an on-the-cheap jobs

Great Grandpa was the coal miner...

Burrito Hyperloop FTW

Yeah, I am hoping they were  thinking that way. I really want an EV Maverick though...

Well they were starting from scratch...

Gotta think with those Lightning numbers, they will be announcing an EV Maverick sooner rather than later...

It’s funny, I bought my 500L in no small part because of the engine note. I just love the sound of that lil 4 banger when it revs up. But the 500e is so much fun to drive, you never notice the lack of engine noise.

Yep, “You’re louder, but I’m faster” will sell some cars. And they will be faster...

I’m with you, my first car was a ‘72 Dart, followed by a ‘78 Aspen when someone wrapped the Dart around a telephone pole. Also had Colt, and a few Jeeps along the way.

We actually just picked up a 2015 500e in orange. She was $9300 with 27K on the clock. 3 months ago it would have been $6300, but what can you do? OMG what a fun little beast to throw around!

I will say this, living in Oakland, CA, I see a lot of Bolts in driveways where you used to see imports. It may not be doing gangbusters overall, but it is selling in places Chevy has not been competitive in decades.

Seriously, if God saved this knucklehead, I have some questions for God,

It’s a few inches shorter than a Toyota Sienna too.

Probably because Elon had the least to do with the S design, that was the actual founders. Cue the Muskites to tell me that I don’t remember what I lived through and that it was Elon all along.

I mean, it does essentially replace the focus in the lineup. This is now your entry level Ford vehicle in America. Maybe the the EcoSport too, but people want this one.
