I wish a thousand stars upon this take
This is hell. Good lord, I mean, congrats on not murdering anyone??
Also I didn't die so pretty cuffed about that.
Super late reply, sorry, but yeah - it could have been worse? My coworker had a lateral episotomy (which is never done, wtf) that resulted in a massive staph infection for 3 months, meaning she couldn’t breastfeed, had a hard time bonding at first, and was you know, staving off sepsis.
I also had brutal back labour, 4 epidurals, and after pusheling for 3 hours I ended up getting an episotomy and forceps which lead to a prolasped bladder. Friggin 10 lb 4 Oz baby, I love him but one and done for sure. Oh, also undiagnosed preeclampsia. Like, it could have been worse but it was not a great time.
Jesus!! That’s... incredible. I think the most serious I did was break my wrist. I was ripping on my friend, hlgiving him a hard time, he pushed me and I had my head back in full cackle laughing at my own jokes - I didn’t see it coming and tried to stick my hands out to catch my fall. Teared up for a minute, continued…
Right? Honestly the fact I have all my limbs and teeth sometimes seems like a small miracle, necrotizing fasciitis be damned.
I had recently moved cities, and a punk band from my old town was playing where I was living. I tried to rally my friends to go with me as I sort of knew the headlining band, but I only got a couple of friends to come out since it was cold as balls that night. It’s a good sized crowd for a bar show, everyone is having…
AMAZING
God, I wish I could your give you ten stars. Also wish we were friends in Junior high, I feel like we were your have been awkward best friends, haha.
Aso Canadian, and A Complicated Kindness is in my top 3 favourite books! It's great and I'm excited to read this one (which somehow slipped past me).
I wish I could give this ten stars.
That’d be Canadian treasure Bryan Adams, different guy totally.
Toddlers.
Hoooooly fuuuck that sounds stressful
Yeah, having kids is hard on your body. Which i think most people know but doing kegels didn’t stop my bladder from prolapsing after having a giant baby, and the only thing that helped was a kick ass pelvic floor physiotherapist. I really think that seeing one should be part of prenatal care, there’s a lot going on…
JFC, that’s something!! Ughhhhhh
I was thinking that my one time splurge of $250 shoes when i went back to work from mat leave was the most expensive thing, but you're right, it was my dang house.
That's the worst thing I've heard all day.
