No, that would be Engrish.

Found where its from, apparently the old Tokimeki Memorial dating sim.

Somebody should track that anime ("Ah! My Goddess"? Looks kinda sorta maybe like it) down and insert Beavis and Butthead dialogue into it.

Exactly!

Yeah, the Dalek and General Grievous are cyborgs as well

And the Gundam and Gipsy Danger are piloted by humans, not AI. That's like calling a tank a robot. But they are robots without an AI so I guess they fit. Most things that we call robots now are controlled by humans

Yeah, I'm not as big into anime as I used to, but I've always enjoyed what Gainax (most of whom are now Trigger) does.

I don't consider Gurren Lagann's ending to be a Gainax ending. Yeah, it was incredibly over-the-top and ridiculous, but it fits with what the show was building up to. Same with FLCL.

Panty and Stocking, yeah that was a Gainax ending, but they were making fun of themselves. Same with Inferno Cop. We have still yet to

I haven't seen Germans rushing that quickly since that time they thought Poland gave them the stink eye!

I'm sure Shepard Smith drinks himself to sleep every night for what he has to put up with at Fox News.

If you've ever seen anything else made by the director, Hiroyuki Imaishi, then you'll know that they definitely knew what they were doing. Over-the-Top is his default state of being. The "serious' interlude in the first quarter of the last half was just a breather for the more insane things to come.

Ever since Eva, Gainax was well-aware of the trope and have been self-parodying themselves ever since, up to when most of the team left to form Studio Trigger. And Trigger has continued the tradition, as seen in the ending to Inferno Coo.

Vagina-mouth aliens seems to be a common scifi trope.

Probably just some language. this is the new Toonami, where they showed Rebuild of Evangelion with ALL of the violence intact.

Yeah, there hasn't been any deals made for who will rerelease the Gundam series yet since Bandai Entertainment closed. So the future of Gundam in America is up in the air.

Seemed like it was really short-sighted of them to close Bandai Entertainment since the popularity of anime has seemed to rise back up again after

Probably a bit too kid-oriented for the new Toonami. If they do bring back Gundam, it'll likely be one of the more mature ones like Gundam Unicorn.

They put out a list of people supplying music and there's alot of contributing artists. Of course, it wouldn't be a Shinichiro Watanabe joint without great music. And Yoko Kanno!

I have faith in Shinichiro Watanabe. Everything he's done has been gold before, even with the most ridiculous of plotlines.

Toonami has done alot of AMAs on their Tumblr page and get asked about subs ALOT. Apparently market research shows that most people, not just kids, who have basic cable won't bother to watch a show or movie on tv if it has subtitles. Sad, but true.

And I'm pretty sure most people watching Toonami are those in their 20s
