Yeah, this is the land that gave us Akira Kurosawa, they should be doing better than this. They have a rich live-action history, yet alot their live-action work lately has seemed half-assed.

Seems like they put all their creative energy into manga and anime, which is awesome and stuff, and you can definitely do things

And two girls...

Yeah, cats have a much longer memory than that. Looking it up, apparently the 10 minute thing was a short-term memory experiment that only used obstacle courses and such, not substantive stuff like "who supplies food and cheek-scratches and when is it nom time?" that cats will definitely remember after 10 minutes.

Yeah, its amazing how Trigger can make a show more entertaining than shows that have 200 times the budget.

High school drama as interpreted by the creators of Gurren Lagann, FLCL, Panty and Stocking and Inferno Cop.

Feh, forget Free!, Golden Boy has the best swimming scene in anime ever. EVER.

I also theorized it might also take place in Northern California or the Pacific Northwest, mostly due to the existence of the giant trees akin to Redwoods and Sequoias. I don't think anyone can know for sure unless the creator tells us outright. He really loves ambiguity.

Compared to other series, like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece, AoT has been downright brisk with its storytelling.

That would make for an epic space battle.

The Jews would, of course, win after they unveil their ultimate weapon. THE DEATH DREIDEL.

His squirt will be the squirt that pierces the heavens!

Marvel should make a Squirrel Girl movie. And have her be the one who defeats Thanos at the end of Avengers 3.

It is indeed awesome. If you haven't caught the series yet, you can check it out on Crunchyroll and Daisuki, though if you don't have a Crunchyroll account, you can't see the newest episode for a week. Daisuki doesn't have that problem so I recommend checking there.

Just a head's up, there's a lot of fanservice. But it

Good call, reviewing it now would be like reviewing Gurren Lagann after the first three episodes. I'm sure nobody expected Gurren Lagann to end with giant robots the size of the universe throwing galaxies at each other. I'm expecting Kill la Kill to be similar.

Hell, yesterday's episode would be the equivalent of a

This is perhaps the world's best visual representation of a fangirl going "SQUEE" ever photographed.

I wonder if she can do the Hanji/Hange/however it's spelled Cosplay Challenge and try to talk about Titans all night long without stopping while an Eren cosplayer is forced to listen.

Dat Yoko o.o

Its going to be...interesting...when people begin cosplaying Ryuko from Kill la Kill.

Most anime are actually pretty mild compared to this. The team behind this are actually very influenced by western animation, so its more like the cartoons over here than you might think. They've even actually done a "western cartoon" a la Powerpuff Girls, called Panty and Stocking, though it is far more insane and

It deconstructs the magical girl genre, and reconstructs it into the shonen/looney tunes/wtf did I just watch genre.

I have a feeling that the anime will finish the "revenge story" by the midway point, but will grow into something much larger after that, much like Gurren Lagann.

Going from what we see in the OP, we're already almost halfway through the "lesser" villains of the week, and then its onto the 5 big villains. Same thing
