SOON

That would make for an epic space battle.

The Jews would, of course, win after they unveil their ultimate weapon. THE DEATH DREIDEL.

Yeah, its obvious Imaishi is a big fan of western animation styles and comics. Hell, they had a House of M reference in the ending of Inferno Cop, something I'd doubt many people in Japan would notice.

Trigger would also be PERFECT for a Deadpool anime as well.

Oh, I'm well aware anime is a medium that has genres, not a genre itself. In my post I already named a number of genres that, when not done intelligently, can get annoying (to me) very quickly.

I just don't get why they're basing this one on a genre that's long past its glory days, the mons-fighting/cardgame genre.

Anime is so much more interesting when it ignores popular trends and does something new or deconstructs a genre. When shows jump on the flavor of the month, be it monster (Pokemon, Digimon), moe (Uguu~), never-ending shonen fighting(Next time on Dragonball Zeeeeeeeeeee!) or card games on motorcycles (CARD GAMES ON

His squirt will be the squirt that pierces the heavens!

On that day, mankind received a grim reminder... RUBBER DUCKIE, YOU'RE THE ONE!

Marvel should make a Squirrel Girl movie. And have her be the one who defeats Thanos at the end of Avengers 3.

It is indeed awesome. If you haven't caught the series yet, you can check it out on Crunchyroll and Daisuki, though if you don't have a Crunchyroll account, you can't see the newest episode for a week. Daisuki doesn't have that problem so I recommend checking there.

Just a head's up, there's a lot of fanservice. But it

Good call, reviewing it now would be like reviewing Gurren Lagann after the first three episodes. I'm sure nobody expected Gurren Lagann to end with giant robots the size of the universe throwing galaxies at each other. I'm expecting Kill la Kill to be similar.

Hell, yesterday's episode would be the equivalent of a

She's definitely the Female Titan from Attack on Titan.

Not just awesome, its SUPERGREEN.

This is perhaps the world's best visual representation of a fangirl going "SQUEE" ever photographed.

I wonder if she can do the Hanji/Hange/however it's spelled Cosplay Challenge and try to talk about Titans all night long without stopping while an Eren cosplayer is forced to listen.

Dat Yoko o.o

Its going to be...interesting...when people begin cosplaying Ryuko from Kill la Kill.

Most anime are actually pretty mild compared to this. The team behind this are actually very influenced by western animation, so its more like the cartoons over here than you might think. They've even actually done a "western cartoon" a la Powerpuff Girls, called Panty and Stocking, though it is far more insane and

It deconstructs the magical girl genre, and reconstructs it into the shonen/looney tunes/wtf did I just watch genre.

I have a feeling that the anime will finish the "revenge story" by the midway point, but will grow into something much larger after that, much like Gurren Lagann.

Going from what we see in the OP, we're already almost halfway through the "lesser" villains of the week, and then its onto the 5 big villains. Same thing

That's how Trigger rolls. "We could do a 5-minute transformation sequence...or we could do it in 1 second and make it look like the most fucked up thing ever." "Fuck it, do it in 1 second."

Nobody's saying that anime can't be criticized. Hell, go to any anime forum and you'll see plenty of people criticizing various shows. If anything, alot of people think anime has gone downhill in the past few years, with the exception of a few standout shows like Attack on Titan. Weeabooism has really fallen out of
