FLCL was made by Old-Gainax. Almost everyone who were responsible for the shows that were very very Gainax (Eva, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking) left Gainax to start a new studio, Trigger. That's probably why "Gainax(if you can call it that anymore)"'s recent shows have been pretty meh, outside of the Eva

Exactly, my thoughts. I watched Kill la Kill last night, and my thoughts at the end were "Trigger is the new Gainax."

Nearly everyone involved with Gainax's most famous works have left. Anno has left to found Khara. Hiroyuki Imaishi and lots of others left to found Trigger. There are a few still left at Gainax, like

Actually, Panty and Stocking was the last show made by the old guard of Gainax, before they jumped ship to form Trigger. Yes, it was made by the same people who made Gunbuster, Eva, FLCL and Gurren Lagann. And yes, they were drunk (and possibly high) when they came up with the idea for the show. But I think that's how

Agreed, I read the manga after the final episode. Can't wait to see how the latest cliffhanger pans out. Should be a week or so until next chapter.

Yeah, something like Attack on Titan is a rarity nowadays. I'm surprised its selling like hotcakes despite how (sometimes, almost subversively) non-moe it is. Maybe a sign of a change for the better? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, I hope so too. From looking at the way the plot is made, there's really no reason too. It does seem to be picking up, though, as the end of current chapter teases a showdown that's been long-expected.

Yeah, I hope they give the manga some space to pick up before they start another season. In the meantime, I think

Never mind this one, double posted.

One can never go wrong with Thomas Bergersen and Two Steps From Hell. I would have his entire catalog playing at all times in my house if I could. If life had a soundtrack, his music would be that.

I did a marathon reading of the manga right after the last episode was over. There have been some major revelations that I won't spoil that also add even more mysteries. Its been pretty damn awesome so far, but those clifffhangers, man. Those cliffhangers. The latest chapter has a pretty damn big one.

Apparently the

Thought Arnold already was in Skyrim, playing as the Whiterun guards.

I can imagine Valve trolling all of us and making Half-Life 3 a musical. that's something they'd do.

Hopefully it won't be DBZ/Naruto/Bleach/One Piece in length. Haven't read the manga, yet, waiting for the season to be over first. There seems to be an end-point: the basement door. Hopefully it won't be years until we get there.

My ideal length for a shonen series is the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and the Brotherhood

Can't help but notice that they're all descendants of the same two cats. That island must be like the West Virginia of cats.

Yeah, I can't even see how they'll fit filler into the show given its structure. My guess is that they'll animate the prequel light novels as OVAs or movies next in order to give time for the manga to catch up. I think I'll be happy with that, since the light novels are canon and give some backstory, so they're not

I agree, its a great anime for those who don't like anime. No fanservice, no brightly-colored hair, no exaggerated comedy(except for that one scene with Sasha jumping at Christa, but then again, a little bit of comedy every now and then is good for this kind of show, and she's a great source of it). And its not

Keep watching. The training episodes are not anything at all like what the rest of the show is like. Let's just say that the episodes following the 4th episode are like the first episode, only that it gets even more bleak and then gets even more awesome. The "Holy Shit Quotient"rises exponentially.

Heh, yeah, when I think of the Sega logo, I think of this:
