They should go for the 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack.

I really hope they keep it as the "Doctor is about to do something clever and awesome" theme from now on, and not just keep it as an 11th Doctor theme. Its damn near as iconic as the opening theme now, at least to me. Very hard to top. You hear those opening notes, even subtly, and you know shit just got real.

I think the way they incorporated his face in the new sequence is pretty good. Not as in-your-face(bad pun, I know) like the earlier ones, it's fairly subtle and if you blink, you miss it.

I'd love to see McGann make a cameo sometime, at least in a flashback to the end of the Time War, or maybe for a multi-Doctor episode.

Awesome, thanks for the tips! I'm more of a photomanipulator/designer then a digital painter, but those will still work since I always work in layers. Anyhoooo, if ArenaNet is in need of a graphic designer and long-time Guild Wars 1/Guild Wars 2 veteran, let me know, haha.

Hardly recognized him at first, I wonder how many times he'll say "fook".

At 3:20, there's a quick flash of Gendo wearing a helmet and being Gendo.

I can't get enough of watching Unit-01 ride that bike with that look on her face.

I bet millions of horny fangirls squeed at that headline.

Indeed, that's an interesting directing technique that I'd like to see more often, where you can choose where to focus on in the scene, and maybe show things in the background that are more important to the story than what is in the foreground. Good for subtlety. Combine that with 3D and HFR and you may have something

I'm surprised they haven't noted that a sizable proportion of people who have seen the HFR version of The Hobbit greatly enjoyed it. Look at all the comments here, the majority of them are positive about HFR.

Heh, well, can't really do much about the design of the Songbird, especially in 5 minutes.

Nice, does match the tone pretty well. Could use some higher-quality textures, but that's just my designer oc-ness talking, lol.

Thanks, it was a quick 5-minute touchup. I like the idea of the design, but I really think the only red should be eye of the Songbird. More striking that way.

Personally, I am cool with it. I'm a graphic designer so I go for the artsy-fartsy stuff. However, I wouldn't go for bright blood-orange though. Too off-putting, like a traffic cone. So I fired up the ol' photoshop and fixed the color so its more like the kind of colors you'd see from the 1900s. Gave it a

Oh yes. The escape from Goblintown, and Goblintown altogether, looked incredible in 48 fps.

Good idea. I also suggest you see it twice, once in 48 fps and once in 24 fps, to compare and contrast.

Same here, especially after seeing it at 24 fps for my second viewing. I actually noticed the flicker in 24 fps.

Thanks, and looks like you gave me the wrong link, to videocopilot.com rather than .net, but that's ok, found it quickly.

Reminds me of the cinematics from Guild Wars 2.
