Hearing their voices in these recordings and how much Amber used toxic reasoning and abusive language was enough to change my perspective on her. I don’t have any reason to trust what she says is true after hearing those recordings. The way she was speaking to Johnny reminded me of the way the worst men I’ve dated

Yeah, those tapes were awful. She was gaslighting him six ways to Tuesday. “I didn’t punch you, Johnny, I hit you. You’re such a baby.”

+1 for teaching me a new word, DARVO.

It’s kinda fucked up that he has evidence and multiple witnesses that he was an abuse victim and she has none, yet the best people can do is “Well they’re both probably abusers”, even with Heard on tape saying this was what she was planning to do to him.

Funny thing; all the popular Covid 19 relief policies are NDP policies. Although Trudeau is back-pedaling on the “no bail out for corporations that don’t pay taxes” promise that the NDP extracted from him for their support.

I’m actually so in awe of Trudeau and the Liberals right now. He’s probably got the strongest minority government in modern history. His government’s response to the coronavirus is securing his re-election. His political opponents can’t say shit about it, and the decision to ban a while bunch of guns is not going to

I grew up redneck in Ontario, Canada, and all my brothers would stand behind the #michiganterrorists. They really believe it’s a violation of their rights not to legally own such rifles. This type of individual is emotion based and they need something to rally behind.

The people against it really do sound crazy, and they’re rattling around in a vacuum. It’s very satisfying.

Ah. Now i know why it only took 30 years to implement.

I met Jagmeet in a pharmacy in Courseulles-su-Mer following the D-Day ceremonies at Juno Beach. He’s incredibly gregarious, and great one-on-one. My personal politics don’t line up with the broad-base of the NDP platform, so I think it would take a lot for me to cast a ballot that way, but of the leadership candidates,

I agree, and majority governments are treading way too close to the broken American system, but with fewer checks and balances. And we all know how well those checks and balances are working in the States right now. Someone like Scheer terrifies me as a majority PM. I’m also just so sick and tired of majorities that

Now imagine if the NDP had actually ever held power. We’d be decades ahead of where we are now.

Minority government is always the best possible outcome of our elections.

“I shouldn’t have done that. I should have known better and I didn’t. I’m really sorry.”

just the sander cohen stuff alone merits that game an entry here.  jump scares are cheap, but holy damn does that dude’s face haunt me still.

I can’t split hairs. What I can say, though, is that Bioshock gave me the creeps—both in terms of cheap jump scares as well as more meaningful, lasting, unnerving images and plot points—than any other game I’ve played (not to mention most movies I’ve seen).

Agreed.  And while I can see the argument that it’s not a pure horror game, the fact that it was able to create such a sense of dread and creepiness while NOT being a horror game is even more impressive.  And let’s face it, Bioshock is better than every game on here period, so if the best game is 15% horror, then it

Yeah dang, BioShock is creepy as all get-out. I’d definitely classify that as a “horror” game (I mean, if Doom and F.E.A.R. can make the cut, then BioShock surely must). At least System Shock 2 made it!

CTRL-F

I cant believe BioShock isnt on here. The first time I played that game, I almost couldn’t play it at night. The soundscape is so well done that walking through each area not knowing whether there really was a splicer around the corner or just off in the distant was so scary. The near constant splicer sounds, you
