Same here. There are a lot of cool cars one could buy and enjoy owning but is there anything even remotely close to being as interesting to read about as a Morgan? Maybe an Ariel but that’s about it. Do it Doug, just get the 3 wheeler.

I just want to point out, the Model T is still under consideration. Deciding between counting stars and not counting stars was a data problem, but it has no bearing on the final choice. The Model T still did well, and it’ll still be considered.
Precisely. Believe me, I won’t and can’t pick solely on volume of suggestions. As an example: Supra finished fourth. I get that a lot of fans I may have attracted while I had the Skyline are interested in the Supra, but I personally want/need to branch out. Even if Supra had finished first, I wouldn’t have picked it.
Excellent question. Virtually anytime anyone suggested “a Caterham” or “Caterham,” I logged it as “Caterham Seven.” The Caterham got a ton of votes — 34 actually — and finished 25th overall. Two people also independently recommended the Lotus Seven.
Also, Doug - awesome fucking work on this! As a statistics nerd, this was the coolest post I’ve read in weeks.
My reaction to seeing that the Morgan made the cut:
Maybe, but the data on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube speaks for itself.
Yeah, it won’t be the Supra. I didn’t want to put too many constraints on the car because I wanted to see what everyone recommended, but the simple truth is that I need to branch out to a different car/country/group of people. Supra would just attract the same people the Skyline did, and frankly I think it’s even less…
Viper with original Mini engine.
Could you imagine??
HUGE. They’re NAMING STUFF after me there. The Doug DeMuro Parking Garage and Small Strip of Grass.
Yeah, I’ll do that! I can post it from the Letters2Doug address. When I announce the car in a few weeks/month/whatever, I’ll have the instructions for how to access it in that column so the most possible people can see it/have access to it.
