@McWeary: I kind of think Apple has always been the big dog, given that Gates worked for Apple and "licensed" Mac OS features to build Windows in the first place.

@ender89: I don't think iTunes by itself is significantly profitable at all. Apple keeps its cut low to keep the labels and artists happy and instead leverages the store as a way to sell hardware. Your idea, while I do like it, doesn't jive with that model.

If Comcast buys NBC, then $0.99 rentals would give someone a reason to ditch cable. They don't want that.

I feel like such a square for asking and or thinking this...but would this be legal in the states? I thought all conversation would not have been included, since recording conversations is illegal without various consent obligations being met.
