The irony is, given how expensive it probably was to bring Clooney in, someone at WB absolutely thought that a Clooney cameo would positively impact the movie’s box office.

This seems like a silly question to me. Of course the addition of one joke Clooney cameo did not affect the film reception to any significant degree.

I mean nothing short of “they re-cast Barry Allen to be someone who is not a kidnapper” would have gotten me to buy a ticket to see this in the theater.

Once they figure out how to put the sheet metal together and hire real mechanical engineers to develop the lifted suspension linkages, hopefully they will find a way to keep the brakes cool considering the hideous wheel covers do not have openings.
