Will he actually pay it back? Doubtful. They were subsidies and not loans, and big companies do everything they can to avoid paying taxes to the US government (see: Amazon).

1. It’s pretty well documented.
Many reasons:
After Elon made even more money on the back of government subsidies, it’s convenient he thinks they should end. He remains a colossal douchenozzle, and I wish his idiotic ramblings weren’t “news” on a regular basis.
Any muscle car, especially a Dodge Challenger. Compensating much?
The real travesty here is that you didn’t give the Reno 911 movie top billing.
I don’t understand this site. There’s a dozen “thinkpieces” about how alphanumeric names suck and cars should have names, and now Adam here is saying he thinks the alphanumerics should stay. Lots of car names are stupid, but over time you get nostalgia for them and think they’re great.
Yeah every time I consider a M3 or M4, I think “Why would I subject myself to a worse daily driving experience for power I’ll never use?” It just doesn’t make any sense anymore.
Out of the 6 cars I’ve bought since graduating college, the only one I regret buying was the first one: A CPO 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX-V6. It lasted about 18 months, one year shorter than the next closest. By the end, I hated the ride, the feel, everything I thought I liked... but to be fair, I was coming from my…
I’m not mocking Acura at all here; I’m mocking the writer’s choice of words to describe this vehicle given what else is available.
If you think touchscreens are bad, you have not used Lexus or Acura’s touch pads.
Cruise missile at 355 hp? Don’t BMW and Mercedes have SUVs that trounce this across the board?
Yeah this surprises me. The only exception I can think of is living in a city with no car; but everyone else go do the damn drive thru yourself if you want fries that aren’t horrible.
It certainly forced MB and BMW to change the naming schemes for their mid-range models from just 340i to M340i (and similar for MB) to compete. People still don’t view them equivalently - I’m sure the average person would rather have a S4 to a M340i on name alone, but Mercedes closed the gap with stuff like C43 AMG…
Some (all?) German brands have 3 sublines (not 4, though). Take Audi for instance: S-line on any of the basic cars just means the same as F-Sport design, true S cars, and RS cars.
Often people don’t want to deal with the pain that comes with hunting used cars - they want to pick their car off the lot of a website and pay “fair” value and move on. This is easiest with new cars, because even if your dealer doesn’t have it, another one nearby does or they can easily get one. (Or at least that was…
Or maybe this is just how energy vampires are born?
As usual, there’s not much anyone can do besides call your reps and harass them. This is a legislative and political issue across the world as governments and organizations bend to China’s will.
Thoroughly underwhelming. Not sure why they even delayed this announcement so much from the initial Civic news when it’s just carrying over the Si parts from the last version of the car.
If the demand was there for more color, you’d see more of it on lots. BMW dealers have told me in the past that they expect the majority of customers looking to buy NOW want black/white/grey/silver, and anyone who wants color would be more than happy to wait a few weeks to get exactly what they want.
