I just love how people assume I’m a closed minded homophobe who hates others who are different because I stated that life is complex. I don’t think the point is “this is a Pokemon Go specific thing” but rather “oh, look, yet another thing for POC to worry about doing in public”.

He migrated to canon eventually - thanks to Clone Wars - but he was created in in Dark Horse’s Republic comics. The love for the character is absolutely rooted in the old EU.

Quinlan Vos is still canon though. He was in Clone Wars, and is one of the main characters in Dark Disciple—which is part of the new canon.
