That's typically not how it has worked in Star Trek, but if Nero's appearance caused a wave of temporal displacement that traveled back in time and kept the "Enterprise" series from ever happening, I'd be ok with that.

But the alt-universe in the movies diverges at a point some 20-something years before the movie takes place. Things before that divergence point—things like Khan—wouldn't be changed.
