Nice to see Escaflowne get a mention, I know it can be kinda cheesy but I enjoyed it a lot (still have the insane 8 DVD collection from back then lol). The movie is an interesting take on the series too with some really good animation imo.

Yeah it’s pretty sad, we were at Angkor Wat last year and there was a woman taking endless selfies while we were waiting in line. Of course she was posing on the ruins right next to big signs that said “DO NOT TOUCH” in like 6 different languages.

I always felt the same way about these games as you, I played a lot of other fighting games but was always terrible when I tried Samurai Shodown. I figured it out a lot more when I played it a lot on emulators later on and I’m pretty pysched they’re making a new one. Did you ever play the Last Blade series? I bought…

That’s a shame, I wish they’d do a Blu Ray release of the series that’s maybe remastered a bit and the subtitle font changed (the old yellow ones on the DVDs look not that great on newer TVs) but with everything else pretty much the same. 

Yeah it’s a shame because it was something that made me like the series even more, luckily I still have the platinum DVD set so I can always go back and just watch that. 

It’d be nice if they’d learn this for Soul Calibur, as much as I enjoy 6 the boobs flopping around is over the top.
