Although Lopez is sometimes thought of as a singer-turned-actor, she was actually an actor-turned-singer (and a dancer before all of that).

I love the idea of Lost. But as far as actually sitting down and watching the entire series again...I tried a couple years ago, and, being the second time around, the filler stuff (which, lets be honest, comprises the majority of episodes in any given season) is glaring and kind of infuriating.
This reeks of a relationship (and manufactured drama) designed in a boardroom.
I wanted to go to Burning Man so fucking bad when I was, like, 17. I used to go to Tahoe every summer with my friend’s family, and he and I would talk about one year ditching them and absconding to the nearby festival. That was until we found out that it was something like $250 if you were coming from out of state. We…
I don’t mind early Offspring if it comes on the radio (that surfy, middle eastern riff in “Come out and Play” is still catchy as hell) but 311 is just...so bad. It doesn’t help that every terrible middle school memory is scored by “Down” and “Transistor.”
Every line of this Newswire is dripping with smugness. I love it! But come on, Clayton. Admit that teenage you owned Smash and 311.
BANE. OF. MY. FUCKING. EXISTENCE.
Pssht. If I were Abrams and I made this discovery, I think I would end up admiring her even more for her sheer audacity. I mean, if her work was good, who gives a shit?
My reaction upon reading the article:
At least now he can tell people, “Collusion? I can’t even spell the damn word!” Which would be enough for me.
*MILD SPOILERS WARNING*
I grew up on Queen. In fact, one of the earliest memories I can recall is watching the suuuuuuper-70's Bohemian Rhapsody music video on what was probably VH-1 (which, to you youngsters, was the MTV* for the 30-55 year-old demographic). As much as I love love LOVE Queen (but especially Freddie Mercury; to my mind, no…
This explains why there are so many typos in AV Club articles lately. As a former copy editor, I can say from experience that we are usually the first to be let go when there are budget cuts or change in management.
I’m 32 and my dad recently confessed that he feels bad for me and my siblings. He came to the Bay Area as an immigrant in the early eighties and was able to rent a 2-bedroom apartment while working as a server at Denny’s, and eventually bought a house in 1996 for 180K that’s now worth 1.4 million. My siblings and I -…
This is apparently an intergalactic issue.
Can someone please explain to me why John Goodman is a part of this mess? Since the original Roseanne ended, he’s become an amazing and totally in demand film actor. I just don’t get why he’s tolerated Barr’s racist bullshit, and why he’s sticking around for the Conners?
Cool...I guess? I love me some of the old ultra violence, but that quote seems vaguely coded for: “since there’s no book to accompany the final season we’re gonna really lean into the violence, since we know the excessive violence in the only reason 35 percent of people watch GoT.”
God I hate music from the early aughts.
I feel like this must be a semi-elaborate prank. This video plays like an Adult Swim clip. From the general flamboyance of the band itself, to the Hitler lookalike on the keys - the camera won’t leave him alone - to the shots of the audience looking puzzled and uneasy.
