“That’s how I always felt—my “rooms of experience” will always make me a little bit different.”

If you like. I don’t think he’s dumb at all. He’s extremely clever, a bit famous for his quick wit and genius ad-libs, amazing with close listening and adaptation—see his near-perfect Towie accent after a couple weeks watching The Only Way Is Essex, for instance. He’s capable and I don’t know the point of

Not “someone”—an adolescent who is obsessed with understanding everything. Have you ever been a kid? They don’t judiciously hold information from themselves because they respect the mystery of existence or are aware of their own fragility or the risk in knowing too much—the thirst is everything. Teenage human nature

Nobody’s denying that he wasn’t born rich, though. It’s just false to suggest that blue collar white men’s stories aren’t represented, and tone deaf not to be clear that he’s talking about a distant past that bears no resemblance to his present status and level of power.

But nobody is arguing that your past isn’t a part of who you are. The objection is about acknowledging your present reality with appropriate awareness and not continuing to cast yourself as the underdog. Nobody has a problem adapting to wealth and power until it comes to reframing one’s idea of oneself. Well, give

It’s an adolescent dream of watching them all be sorry once the rain is falling gently on your grave.

And not to diminish my bigger objection, but the storytelling sucked too. The problem (and the purpose of every episode after the first) only existed because the guy supposedly couldn’t bring himself to listen to all the tapes right away, which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I’m

The graphic death is just an apology for the series-long suicide fetish. The show elevates her as mysterious and tortured, and the entire narrative is about how everybody else is responsible for her death.

It’s a logical contradiction; it doesn’t matter that your heart doesn’t feel conflicted. You stated that everyone on death row deserves to die, which you then immediately disprove by admitting that innocent people have been sent to death row.

Well at least you’re honest. Most others would pretend to care about innocent people being put to death, if not the systemic racism that finds poor people and black people on death row so much more often than rich people or white people, so I respect that you don’t pretend to care about any of that.

My pleasure! I have made ALL the mistakes, trust. And I’ll keep on making them because it’s a process. But the map is available when we’re ready to shift—it remains true and empowering as a guide for whenever it resonates and becomes useful. The timing and form is all yours, and it is not a failure if you need to

Damn right. I can’t think of much that’s more blasphemous than commandeering Jesus for your own greed, bigotry, and egomania.

You: if you’re on death row, you deserve to die.

Then come on! We’re good with words and have inexplicable amounts of time on our hands. Start simply—you are humble, responsible, hard-working, and care enormously about your daughter. Those are the bones, and they already prove your worth. Then you add some personal color, like how you bake when you’re nervous.

The entire lash-industrial complex pisses me off.

How’s the dating site stuff going?

I’m so glad!! It is mostly likely a phase, but honoring her feelings will be the right move no matter what. She’ll remember that. Nice work.

“If it’s not my opinion [that felons on death row should be put down like rabid dogs], what is it?”

Their psyches are just flopped out there like bloated whale bellies, for all to see. It’s horrifying, really.

“Who am I? Who am I, divorced of artificial stature? I never developed myself and I don’t know where socks go, or that people have inherent value. Is it okay to cry openly yet?”
