true.

The best thing about this garbage is how they're demanding that JCP take a "neutral" stand... where a "neutral" stand means showing only hetero families.

I am so charmed that you took the time to reply individually to each person who called you out for this comment. That was really awesome of you.

Thank you for posting that. I loved it and these two articles paired so nicely together. It was "MAKE EVERY MINUTE COUNT!!!!!, but, shhhhhh, calm down, you already are."

Oh my god she is so fucking charming.

Thank you for that. We, too, make it work. There are many weeks when we eat together all 7 nights a week. And we're busy, professional, overworked, stressed out people. This is just the thing we choose to make happen. And I, too, don't give a shit about what other families do, and I won't be shamed be other people

Yep. I cannot relate.

I grew up with badass feminist nuns who love God and the church and who thought the men who ran the church were a bunch of ass hats. I have often used "nun" in conversation as a stereotype of those super awesome 60-something feminist women who don't give a shit, and I'm always shocked to realize that people don't get

This was beautiful and exactly true.

I was also 19, Catholic, whose Catholic mom had me when she was 19.

That is not a question that you have the right to ask her. Or anybody.

That's what bullies do.

I've never read Tracy's articles as motherhood sucking for her. I've always heard her tone as the same tone I have when I leave my toddler for an evening and go drink with my girlfriends. We love our kids to the moon and beyond. But it's fun and funny (to us, anyway) to tell stories of the extreme cliches with people

Mr. Tangerine is perfectly happy having period sex. I think for him it makes him feel masculine or husbandish because there's a certain intimacy to it. I don't know about all women, but I would never have period sex with someone that I wasn't completely intimate with.

NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!!!!

oooh, can we also make sure that they include these articles that I've been needing:

To be fair, we don't live in Brooklyn; we live in a mid-sized city and we walk to our playground where no one is allowed to sell anything because we made an ordinance that says so. I think it's all about moderation and finding balance, and judging from the fact that this happened in the first place I'm guessing that

Sure. Anyone who wants to can make that argument.

When I was a kid, the ice cream truck came around sometimes. *Sometimes.* It came rarely enough that when it did I was always almost allowed to get some ice cream. And I'm sure I cried on the days when there wasn't any change to be found or we had somewhere to go and my mom didn't want me messing up my outfit, or I
