Yup. Jon takes the black and Sansa bends the knee
Reaction from the North? To the southern capital being torched? They’ll be elated.
The innocents and oppressed had always flocked to her side. She assumed Westeros would be the same. But they didn’t and she saw that they wouldn’t, not when they had another alternative. Without those that had advised her and tempered her instincts in Essos (and no longer trusting Tyrion), she saw only one option to…

Stanning for Stannis!
I saw his initial refusal to burn his daughter as the variation from his character. He’s always willing to make the sacrifice, but for humane, un-Stannis like reasons, he hods off burning his daughter until he’s in absolute dire straits and he reverted back to form
I actually disagree about Stannis’ arc. His daughter was very effecting, it introduced more of the fire god and it’s religion, and his death had a fittingly pathetic, stoic ending. It’s just that despite his army and ability as a commander, his primary trait was his inflexible, unpleasant nature.
I believe he was punished for trying to recruit others to Jon’s claim, not for simply knowing. I assume tyrion said as much based on their conversation in the previous episode. agree with the restoration of your post. My girlfriend woke up Justin time for the bloodiest part of the Cleganebowl. She was not happy
Maybe he brought the dinghy when he smuggled in the bell ringers?
“No one liked him” was the entirety of Stannis’ character
If you don’t surrender before the city walls fall, you should expect a brutal sack. That was the norm for our medieval period, anyway
Most people don’t radically change who they are, and I think that is the theme of this episode. Many characters have gone on a journey throughout the series, but it’s more of a convention of fiction than reality that people change dramatically after profound experiences. What the show and books have always done, is…

Bucks! Bucks! Bucks!
Right?! The only way we know older characters age 5 years is a new haircut. Otherwise there’s no way to tell May has aged or not
But you did find the real Beren and Luthien!
Heavy Metal is great, but I don’t like it. And Vampire Weekend does suck, but even if they didn’t, they would not rock. As much as I love Belle and Sebastian, they will never rock
