This is one of those things that I do not understand. I sympathize with the union to a point, since GM is highly profitable currently, yet they are skirting around the contract, increasing benefit costs, and not paying all workers a good living wage.

It’s a bribe to get them to accept the contract. Nothing more, nothing less.

They’ve also been mixing it with American Cold War strategy too, announce something that is mostly fictional but would cost a lot to counter, watch as we scramble to develop a hugely expensive just-in-case counter and mire it in pork barrel corruption to triple the price. We did it to the Soviet Union with Star Wars

I think people mistake newest and highest performance for “best”

You know you can just go to Harbor Freight and skip the 5 week wait for shipping, right?

Had they thrown in buttons everywhere it might be a good 3-series competitor in every regard.

Shit. If my high school guidance counselor had told me that I could be making $58,240 a year without any overtime, with a GED and zero certifications after only 4 years the assembly line, I’m not sure I would have finished high school.

No camouflage lettering or thin blue lines? I don’t think these are even *real* police cars. How do they protect and/or serve?

I just priced out the closest comparable new Sierra to my ‘06, and it is 100% more that I paid when mine was brand new, almost to the dollar. And that is not for some loaded up show pony. My ‘06 is a base model 2wd crew cab, with just a few options. That’s what I spec’s in a 2019 Sierra. I paid $21xxx for my ‘06, and

I’ll agree that newer used cars are better equipped, but I’m not completely sold on “better quality”.

C4C has zero impact what-so-ever on the used car market. Anyone who thinks it did is just drinking koolaid and has never actually looked at the situation.

Neutral: Range isn’t the issue so much as charging speed. I have a car that takes me 300 miles on a tank of gas and refills in 5 minutes. I could live with an electric that charges in 10 minutes and only gets 200 miles. Or you have to give me an electric that gets 400 miles and fills in an hour.

A car that gets 260

“We already have gas stations, just start delivering/making hydrogen.”

If the prices drop, new cars will take a short term hit. People will buy up all the cheaper used cars creating a shortage of used cars and driving prices up.

Clitoris Delboss.  Sales will be bad as most men won't be able to find it.

how do you say that?

I think it was less of an argument and more of a joke.

Serious question. Why would you pick this over something like a Tacoma TRD off road (or similar)? I am always baffled by the Jeep products since they always feel cheaply put together. I know they are capable off road but every time I get in one I feel like it should cost 20k, not 30k+.

The best FCA easter egg would be the vehicle not being a colossal piece of shit.

Yes, it would literally kill me to watch it. It would kill the part of me that’s sickened by blog sites using video when text is so much more efficient and accessible. It’s always disappointing to click on a Jalopnik link hoping to learn some information, only to be stymied by another article that’s just a video that
