Bungie was my favorite game studio going all the way back to the Marathon days, I thought their escape from Microsoft and return to independence would be a new era for them (I personally thought Halo was pretty good, but not their best work). Long story short, they completely lost me with Destiny and I would pay money…

That’s the Destiny cycle. Months of silence, then the promise of transparency. And it goes on and on and on.

I love Bungie. I love Destiny. I don’t love Destiny 2. They gutted too much from what made D1 so great (the chase for truly rare loot, random rolls, exotic quests) and swung the pendulum too far in favor of the casual player.

The Destiny cycle. Too bad I’m in for at least 2 DLCs since I got the digital ultimate edition. Hoping the Raid Lair is at least fun, but I’ll be waiting for reviews of whatever “comet” dlc they’ve got planned down the line.
