Like man others, I just use the side of a chef's knife, then mince the mashed garlic. Mincing allows for more flavor, too, I believe. Takes all of an extra 45 seconds.

Add canned humor to HFA and you have nothing but awkwardness. Hooray!
@ZekeSulastin: I'm an idiot.
Someone from Starbucks discussing complexity? HAH!. They roast the complexity right out of even their best beans.
What's bigger, a jacket or a pants pocket?
Banksy doesn't have a social conscience? But he paints things like flowers in guns and gas masks and kissing polics.
Can you write in them? Do they cost $20 a piece?
@Today is Cordfucious 32nd Birthday: Maybe I've just had really bad luck with the Moleskines I've bought falling apart. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in several different factories and has variable quality as a result.
@geekgrrl77: Yeah, I used to buy into the hype. I was also drawn by the basic, plain format of Moleskine brand notebooks. However, after having several of them fall apart on me and after writing on high quality paper, I gave up. I now spend my money on cheaper notebooks that hold up to use over time and contain much…
@puntai: They're well marketed and priced to seem of greater quality than they are.
@Follower46: I tried to switch to chrome full time, but I won't be able to do it until they achieve greater compatibility. I still use it sometimes, but for me, FF is faster and more reliable.
Coffee doesn't stay fresh long (+/- one to two weeks) after roasting so if you drink a lot of coffee and prefer it to be fresh, you'll be spending a LOT of time roasting beans. That's not really an option for me, so I think I'll continue to pay an extra couple bucks for fresh-roasted single-origin, fair-trade whole…
@Matt Hendry: Thanks for that.
@Deprong Mori: There's a pretty big difference between drip brewers, french presses, percolators (if anyone still uses them), vacuum pots and other methods. A lot of it is, like you said, dependent on temperature, but the grind of the coffee for different methods, the amount of time the coffee is exposed to the water,…
@LastVigilante: Most health related research shows that coffee is actually good for you. Maybe not good for the color of your teeth, but it's healthy healthy in some ways.
@Capone: If you prep it right and are using quality beans that aren't over-roasted, you should notice a huge difference between french press and drip coffee.
@Lo-fi: Odd, most Europeans I know don't drink turkish coffee.
Burr grinders really start at around $25. The last time I was at Target, I saw one on sale for something like $20. If you are wanting to spend big bucks on a burr grinder, look for ceramic, not metal burrs. They will last longer and work better.
