I feel like you’ve missed a point. Car dealers don’t make much money on new car sales. It’s after-sale service that they rely on. And most of that income is simply not applicable to electric cars, particularly Teslas. They simply don’t require oil changes and Tesla can push updates while it sits in your garage. So

Not underpowered for its time. Same HP as the later Astra GTE 16v which was a hot hatch king of its time.

Loved these things when I was young. 150hp was a lot back then, on par with the mighty Astra GTE 16v. But it was rear wheel drive and looked kinda ordinary to most. I always liked the Q-car type.

Each country in Europe has their own rules on licenses, although there have been moves to improve commonality. Bit odd that you weren’t asked for yours, sounds like an oversight to be honest. I’ve hired cars a few times in Scotland, always been asked for my licence and I’m from there.
