Milwaukee resident here. Can confirm it’s bad here. Not sure how Hyundai and Kia can help when most vehicles getting stolen are older, late 2000s-mid 2010s. I thankfully have a garage and a Honda, but still is nerve-racking parking on a dimly lit street.

Only recently (2013) has MI become RTW, and its future is more bleak as a result. The southern states have historically been RTW and correspondingly among the lowest standards of living.
