I am not actually surprised that someone willing to pay $140k+ for a used Ariel Nomad doesn’t understand how inflation or depreciating assets work.

I think you are drastically underestimating the size of the Tesla cult. While there’s no way the CT will outsell the Ford Lightning and Chevy SilvErado, I would not be surprised to see it sell ~100k units over the first couple of years of full production. In case you haven’t noticed, we don’t live in a rational world.

My pants just shrunk. This is a dream come true that I’ll never afford.

Really, that’s all it took to get you to stop wrenching?  Should have smacked it harder with your purse.

Here are photos of the actual alignment jig for the Wagoneer badging.

The cab is clearly also an escape pod.

A 25% increase in the average car payment in the last 10 years is a 2.5% increase per year...which is about the rate of inflation. So in other words no change. I’d say gotcha journalism if it wasn’t more likely that you just don’t understand economics.

Not going to lie this article had a beater vehicle and an abandoned vehicle. I thought it was going to be written by David Tracy.

As with a lot of car culture, I like it but don’t want to participate in it. The amount of engineering and fabricating skill involved is impressive, and some of the builds are just sick. Like Finnegan’s...

pet peeve: rational  rationale

I always try to be the last car to stop rolling in hopes of alleviating any confusion about who goes first at a 4 way.  It almost never works...

Did I miss the part about why it’s unsafe to pull off the road under an overpass? Or are we just stating the obvious that you shouldn’t block the freeway?

A group was exercising their right to free speech in a non-violent fashion and now you’re celebrating violence against them? Well done, fuck that wholefirst amendment” thing!

1LT C8 Corvette Stingray -- the extra stuff in the higher trims is cool but man (if you can) bag one of these for $60k... anything beyond the LT2 behind you is superfluous.

I’m pretty sure you’re just an ozone generator salesman, but I’m still considering buying one.

Yeah I wouldn’t put it past them to just pocket the cleaning fee without doing the cleaning and let the next customer take it or leave it. Then the next person to check the car after a return reports the smell of smoke and the cycle continues.

I know so many people that have stopped visiting Jalopnik because of political articles like this. A truck going to work and being blocked by angry employees should not be “news” on a website for car enthusiasts. If you are wondering why your company is dying it is because of write ups like this.

When the strike started, Warrior Met Coal immediately brought in scabs.

I see this as the transport driver just saving the Jag owner lots of money long-term.
