I loved the story as well! And don’t worry that it didn’t have some sort of resolution, I find that real stories rarely do.

I tend to like the ones based in reality about a scary person. Though, there have been some gems over the years that are paranormal based. I would encourage anyone who has an experience to submit, you never know, it might end up being a classic.

Submitting my story was my first time posting here so I made some mistakes and I wish I had thought up a title. When my story first posted I had accidentally had it include my full name. Oops, got that fixed at least.

The Red House was great in its simplicity. I also loved the story about the caller throughout the day.

I actually really like it. I would have wanted to keep it as well.

I loved your story. I remember it from last year and am glad you resubmitted. I think the stories this year are top notch. We never have a way of knowing 100% sure if they are true, but these all were scary yet not over the top to make me start rolling my eyes and thinking, yeah sure. For mine, it really happened, but

I know, I wouldn’t want someone wondering around my house no matter what. I guess their point was that these were nice custom homes, someone wanting to take themselves on an unapproved self guided tour isn’t that outlandish, but still inappropriate.

I didn’t tell my mom until I was an adult. She felt guilty that I was put in this situation. Growing up my siblings and I were often left alone with different workers in our homes because they were often still under construction in some way or we were in the process of moving. I look back and think it was insane, but

Growing up my family moved a lot. All within the same town. My parents had their own business building custom homes and for our family they would build a nice house and we would live in it until it sold. By the time I was 18 I had moved 30 times, mostly in the same town. Just from house to house. I mention this because

This sounds like one of Israel Keyes’ kill kits. He would bury guns, ropes, money and anything else he felt he might need in random locations for him to use later. They have not found all of them. Luckily for your friend, he is not going to be returning for it.
