Frankly, the fact that Ofcom is getting involved already, is a HUGE step up from where US TV is.

It’s going to come down to residents in the form of either an increase in property taxes or water/sewer rates, rather than where it should come from: police union dues.

wut.

Graphene might be more likely.

Now this is more like it.

The levels on this joke are wearing on me.

Congrats on proving me wrong on the one fact not germane to the discussion of how the hell the Naboo political system worked.

I’m actually pretty sure that the title comes from the Organas rather than any affiliation with Naboo. I’m *willing* to buy that Leia did in fact “remember” Padme but not a name. ROTJ does make it pretty clear that Leia knew she was adopted.

I think any citizen was eligible to be nominated and elected. But you’re also asking my brain to remember something I read 15 years ago ;)

The Terry Brooks novelization of Episode I clearly indicated that the “Queen” position was an elected one held for two years and Padme Amidala was the youngest person to win and hold that position. She had served on the Naboo council before then.

There are probably backpacking meetups near you who would be happy to help a beginner learn. Most important rule of backpacking: keep your feet happy.

I’d say start with shorter trips for backpacking and work up to larger ones as the kid grows. My first backpacking trip was only overnight and I carried my own food. As I got older, we’d go out for longer because I’d be able to handle more weight-wise and feet-wise.

That was digital. They only made the physical version afterward because of the fan response to the droid in the trailer.

If the price was closer to what I considered reasonable, I wouldn’t mind the size either. But $150 for something 3” tall is a droid too far for me.

SI is reporting that Washington walked back the entire “fake account” thing and the GM’s wife has apologized.

It’s the same company that’s making the BB-8 desk toy. I’m just confused as to why they decided to go so small. Wouldn’t bigger give them more room to use larger (and therefore cheaper) components?

#1 thing that has kept me from upgrading is the fact that the 1st Moto X is the best form factor for *my* smartphone. I’ll probably go for the 3rd Moto G when I won’t get boned by my contract.

$50, yes. $150, no. That thing is too damn small. If we were talking the size of a basketball or so, I’d be onboard.
