I did the math once for a sustainable building class in college, takes about 5 years to recoup the investment. Basically, anything up to serious energy generating equipment (geothermal/solar) is pretty much a no-brainer in the 5 year time frame.

I wouldn't say no chance (there are about a dozen Ivy Leaguers in the NFL, atm), but basically agree. The football players are still decent quality recruits but they also have enough brains to see that football isn't a sustainable way of life and want a back up plan. People who know they have other options make poor

I think iOS 8 killed the camera support on my iPad 2. Did anyone else experience this/know how to fix it?

I love my 1st gen Moto X to the point where I occasionally consider on buying a couple more, just so I can have a clean replacement in case something happens to the one I have now. 4.7" is as big as I ever want in a phone and the battery is more than enough to keep me going through the day. I totally agree with the

Well ya, hence the "(moving to never gonna happen land)" preface. But hypotheticals can be fun sometimes.

Yeah probably. But a few teams are actually starting to make a profit. But the revenue metric would at least make it a problem with society as a whole vs a pay parity argument.

I believe you may have Princeton confused with UVA, where it is still acceptable to wear pearls and gloves to football games (blazer and khakis for the gents).

But the Princeton color scheme does have a "hi-viz" quality that makes you notice it more than your average set of school colors. Also, how many other colleges have had Ralph Lauren photo shoots?

WNBA and NBA players should be paid the same percentage of their respective league revenues. There's the feminist argument for you.

Take it. You've already admitted that you have more success on the road than on the track so it's not like you're going to lead the team to a championship indoor season. Stay on the roster as an assistant and use the money to start your pro career off well. I say this as a former Div I athlete.

Certain members of my extended family get *very* put out if I don't send cards on random holidays (Thanksgiving, for example - I'LL SEE YOU AT DINNER /rant) or if I don't send postcards when traveling. So keeping them in an easy to access spot saves me a a lot of haranguing down the line.

Getting a driver's license anywhere in Europe is really difficult because the insurance standards are much stricter than in the US. I had a friend who was a doctor and still considered getting his EU driver's license as one of his greatest achievements.

After my internship the summer after junior year, I took most of my savings (around $2k) and opened an investment account and bought stocks that my dad suggested. Once I started working full time, I opened an IRA account and dumped around $8k in there (yay living at home) over the course of 2 years. My dad is still my

Very well played.

I do my best to stick to a "weekend only" spending schedule. Means no impulse trips to to Target/grocery store/CVS, no "daily deals" emails, etc. It a) forces me to plan out my meals for the week so I'm eating healthier and cheaper and b) forces me to really contemplate what I want to spend money on because if I
