I wrote a little biographical essay on Splinter (a place where I almost never comment) but to recap: My in-laws had a heavily annotated Green Book that served as a useful research tool and travel diary. We came upon it when my MIL died and we were cleaning out the house. I wanted to keep it but my husband destroyed it.

I have no idea if this is a eerily specific memory from a past life or not, but either way it’s worth a star.

Actually, it’s kind of the exact opposite--this shows how very difficult it is to convincingly fake an attack, and how easily the stories of people lying about being assaulted crumble under investigation. Nobody is sincerely equating “believe victims” with “don’t investigate crimes”; that’s a straw man used by rape…

I have a pelvic pain specialist, but only have a diagnosis of vulvar vestibulitis to date. I’ve done 2 rounds of physical therapy and am on 2 different medications for the pain. I don’t even have an endo diagnosis yet since the first 2 rare expensive specialists ignored my mentions of painful periods and the studies…

As far as the why would anyone else with them be entitled to the same benefits remark; most times the other people with them are there because they are needed (parents, siblings and/or caregivers) to even get them there, help them in general and and ensure their safety. Many times these people don’t have the funds…

I’m getting an MRI at the moment bc I can’t even get the vaginal ultrasound test for endo due to pelvic pain/vaginismus. And it took me years to get this bc the other doctors just said “well you’re already on the pill and we can’t do the ultrasound”

It’s mentioned in the post but if you’re a vet with a service connected disability you qualify regardless of the % of your disability.

I think the really disturbing part of all of this is that you think newsradio is a top 5 sitcom.
