Part of why I'm so worried for Iris West on the Flash. Homegirl does not pass the paper bag test, and she's already a polarizing character, granted some of the criticism I get, but most of it is pretty reaching. The writers kind of treat her like crap too.

I have a weird problem sticking to canon in fanfic. Probably because I've always used it as a writing exercise, and it's a fun challenge to imagine the same characters in wildly different scenarios. Like Abbie and Ichabod in a John Hughes-esque HS story.

Damn, that's beautiful.

Okay, I'm starting to think I should stop writing for 'ships. All but one 'ship I've gotten into enough to write fanfic for has gone horribly and almost inexplicably wrong due to behind the scenes drama.

Oh, I know.

I'm typically cool with race swapping, but it's pretty much always white to black. There are other ethnicities people. That being said, super excited for this.

Is he? I mean, he's good, but is he the best? I might have to look into this.

Yeah, and that I don't have to watch Arrow to see her.

Iris is actually a very sweet character with more emotional maturity than a lot of the others, aside from the Linda thing and coming across as hopelessly naive in season one sometimes (which I think had more to do with her unflappable trust in Barry than mere cluelessness, making her season-long gaslighting all the

Same here, what a difference a season makes. The sad thing is, none of it had to be this bad. It all could have worked, they just had no idea how to work it.

When my novel is done I'll send it in. Only problem is there're an awful lot of minorities in it.

I don't really have a good enough ear for Irish accents to tell if it was any good or not, only that he seemed to be going for one. I liked his performance well enough though. Negga and Cooper don't exactly nail their southern American accents either, they're still plenty delightful.

I'm actively annoyed that they aren't together at this point. I mean, she drank his face…

But the character is Irish, saw the pilot.

My mom is one of those too. Granted she'll only do it when the oven is at the warm setting, still, it's madness.

I saw it and loved it. I'm comfortable with loving it, I'd rather love things than hate them. But I do wish we could pretend it didn't exist here, just because I'm a bit tired of all the BvS saltiness on this site, especially on threads that are supposed to be unrelated.

If Eddie had survived, him, Barry and Iris could have made the most adorable ass three-way couple of all time. *sigh* what could have been.

I loved the way Iris said "mittens!" especially since nobody actually calls oven mitts "mittens." Her delivery is surprisingly great sometimes.

They didn't.

Didn't say he killed him. But he came really damn close (closer in the animated movie, to the extent where it was sheer dumb luck that he didn't die). And considering his weird symbiotic relationship w/ the Joker, that's a big deal. Basically, he's a brutal fucker, and his not killing vow is more flexible than people
