I think the unreliability of used cars and the reliability of new cars are both vastly overstated. Most people like to think that new cars are super reliable and anything more than a few years is just a breakdown waiting to happen, but that’s just not the case. Even very old cars can be quite reliable, if well

They have tons of colors, but the only one that doesn’t look “middle aged Power Ranger” is black (okay, *maybe* gray). The bright reds and fluorescent yellows mixed with the black armor in the shoulders, elbows, knees, etc., just looks like a patchwork. The Transit looks nice and is more understated (except the 6”

I really like Aerostitch’s stuff. I have a lot of hardcore friends who have them and they’re awesome...if only they weren’t so goddamn ugly! The black version looks okay, but I don’t really want to wear a completely black outfit in the middle of summer or at night.

Price is usually about comfort and features, not safety. A relatively cheap DOT/SNELL rated helmet will protect you just as well as a top of the line Arai/Shoei/etc. The difference is that it won’t be as quiet, the venting won’t be as good, the liner will be less comfortable and probably won’t be removable, it will be

A million dash cams and the Russians still can’t figure out how to shoot landscape video.

Personally, I’d say the Mazda5 is one of the only real minivans actually for sale in the U.S. right now. Other “mini” vans are anything but mini. The Caravan, Odyssey, Sienna, etc. are all fairly large vehicles. Certainly much larger than the original Caravan that came out a few decades ago.

I’ve been wanting to build a 5.0/T5 swapped LTD/Fairmont wagon for years. If this car wasn’t on the wrong side of the country, I’d go plunk down the cash right now.

I came here to say this, and you beat me to it.

While it would be nice if it were skinnier, parking isn’t the problem this car is meant to address. The body is narrow because it’s lighter and more aerodynamic. Simple as that. Besides, it’s not like cities are going to start making parking spots half as wide to account for these cars. Motorcycles have been around

They can already recognize and account for things like traffic cones, emergency vehicle lights, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if they can recognize hazard lights. They also seem to be able to handle ducks crossing the road, trash in the lane, and other hazards. They appear to be working on a system to let humans make

They already have a lot of this behavior in place. Their car can already move far to one side of the lane or the other, if the car next to them is drifting over the lane. They can cross lane boundaries to pass double-parked cars, FedEx vans, and other such vehicles parked on the curb, but taking up a large portion of

This era of truck is one of my dream car garage vehicles. My grandfather drove a red one like this for nearly 20 years, and I’ve always wanted one. You’d think that a big block powered, independent suspension, high-dollar build would be my dream truck, right?

Vent windows!

These things just make no sense. I love motorcycles as much (probably a lot more) than the next guy, but if I’ve got a flying exosuit that doubles as an autonomous bodyguard, what the fuck do I need with a motorcycle?

This was going to be my answer, except this kinda ruins it:

Not only does it have headlights front and rear, it also has rear view (front view?) mirrors in the back, as well. I’m guessing that there will be some sort of “easy park” feature where you pull nose-in, but then leave by getting in the back (which is now the front) and leaving nose-out.

Hey, you gonna drink t’the Alliance with me? Six years today, the Alliance sent the Browcoats runnin’, pissin’ their pants.

The Stars and Stripes is a flag of traitors too. The biggest difference being that those traitors won.

And the visibility seems to get worse year after year, as A-pillars get thicker and thicker. I was driving a rental a few months ago and nearly hit someone in a crosswalk, because I simply couldn’t see them. The damn A-pillar was so large, it blocked my entire view.
