I adore greens and teals! Greens and teals seem to come around every 20 years. Enjoy this next green phase! It will last a few years and then be gone...

I’ve had 3 VWs since 2002 to today, and my first one (a GTI) I REALLY wanted in Rave Green, but it was a nearly impossible color to find, and I settled for Indigo Blue Pearl. It was a lovely color in its own right, albeit too dark for my tastes and was very hard to keep looking clean.

I refuse to ever buy a home that is associated with an HOA. Ever.

I rewrote your headline:

You shouldn’t warm it all the way to full operating temperature, that takes forever and is not how the emissions system is designed to work. A warmup of 30 seconds or so in moderate weather temps, or a minute or two in colder temps, is prudent. Since it’s typically been in the 30s and frosty everyday I wake up lately,

Yeah, I get that, I don’t want to deal with the massive problems either. But what are the ODDS of those massive problems, really? Risk is actually the magnitude of the consequence multiplied by the probability of the occurrence, and human beings tend to focus predominantly on the magnitude when making decisions. Seems

I love blue, but also love many greens, and have a soft spot for merlot-rich and canyon-orange tints of red (not so much fire engine red, most of the time). Many oranges are fantastic, and there can be some cool yellows. JCB yellow, with that rich mustard-ey orange tint to it! AKA WRX Sonic Yellow.

The delay was inconsequential to whether the plane and its passengers would experience 2018 twice, because they surely would’ve still been in the same time zone if they had left on-time (11:55 PM) when the clock struck midnight. Looking at a time zone map, the flight would be in Auckland’s time zone for quite awhile

Honestly I wish I could buy a new car without a warranty. Warranties are structured to give dealers all the power (they can’t replicate the problem, $200 diagnostic fees that “get refunded if we find anything”, then once they have your car they might sit on it for ages and you’re screwed, etc. etc.) and give you as

No cars in 2018! I bought a car in 2015, 2016, and 2017, so I think I’m due for a year off.

Thank you for your excellent rebuttal! Pursuit of money over value, product, or ethics is killing us. It really is. Warping society and killing the environment we need to live in.

I will tell corporate entities this: the alternative to regulations is ethics. If you want “the man” off your backs, be ethical.

I didn’t get it at first. But then I got it.

But I loved GT1 world championship :(

Yes, let’s all kick the social media habit! It would be good for society. I’ve been off Twitter and Facebook since 2014 and it’s been great!

I would also add: WTCC is as boring as ever, who the hell watches it, why is it even a series?

Really glad the swatter has been arrested. Stupid internet dingbats...

I really don’t understand importing a JDM Eunos when Miatas grow on trees in the US, but otherwise, great list!

What makes a car fun to drive is its tuning. FWD is just more commonly chosen as a packaging and economy benefit, so the tuning doesn’t tend to jibe with enthusiast goals. It doesn’t mean FWD can’t be enthusiast-tuned. When it is, it can be truly excellent.

But...I remember pogs! D:
