Cold when it’s cold out, hot when it’s hot out, more slippery than cloth for spirited driving, and in my experience takes a lot more cleaning and maintenance than cloth does...I vacuum my cloth every few weeks and give it a light scrub with upholstery cleaner followed up by an application…

It’s stupidly easy for shops and dealers to come up with “100+” point inspections that barely look at anything. There’s like 20 “points” just to look at in five seconds at each corner of the car. “Are the boots split, is there grease exposed, is there excess play? No? OK, on to the next 20 points...”

Yay! I work as a geotechnical engineer, and I’m in the field ~20% of the time, often having to drive on construction sites and into undeveloped areas while carrying bulky and dirty tools, equipment, boxes, buckets, bags of samples, tables, etc...
