Unfortunately Cloth interior M2 is not an option, at least in the US of A. :/

You might be right, I wonder if the halogen headlight cars I saw were M-Sports? Unfortunately I passed on the new M3 when I found an E90 locally instead.

Possibly true, though I hope you’re wrong, it always makes me laugh when I see $60k 4-Series with headlights that light the road worse than a $18k Corolla.

Glad the good headlights are finally standard, if comfort access is standard this year it might finally be worth getting a cloth interior no option M3/M4.

Excluding that embarrassing side chrome vent thing I would love to have one in my garage for ~$35k. But I’m still in the minority of only ever owning manual transmission cars so I’m not even in the market unfortunately.

Sweet, good to know e-mailing tips@jalopnik.com still works.

I’m happy people love these things... I consistently prefer the OEM style more than the modified ones, but people can spend their money however they want.

I nominate the Mercedes B-Class

There probably is, but I can’t look at what the Europeans have without getting incredibly jealous...

Closest I could think of without a model in between closing the gulf:

The only reason I’d look forward to the Buick version is if it’s offered in a GS Wagon version. Otherwise I’d rather have the aforementioned Mazda, Audi or Volvo.

It unfortunately does not retract, though I certainly agree.

Absolutely, it has become very common across all price brackets. I think that car interior designers thought tablets were still going to be popular in 2016 and wanted to emulate the look. Plus it’s significantly easier to not try and integrate a screen into a dash and keep it within arms reach of most drivers.

Closer view of the dashboard, that tacked on screen is abhorrent, but I’m glad they didn’t go full on Honda and ditch the physical audio controls completely.

How about an electric assisted steering rack that disconnects the assist completely at speed or when you change the steering to, “Track/Sport/Smiles” mode?

1) Regera

This motor needs to go into something fun so I can buy it with my money. I’m tired of BMW being the only option for an I6 in a modern car, especially with how poorly they’re being made these days.

Come on guys, they added awkwardly shaped & positioned vents behind the front wheels, it totally changes the side profile!
