Interesting. Thanks!

Three steps for eliminating understeer on an AWD car:
Slightly #offtopic question here... but why did all the early cars have such narrow tires? Was it a weight / manufacturing limitation or something else? It seems like the concept of "more tire == more better" is pretty fundamental to speed.
My problem is that I can't get a BRZ 'cause I'm too busy hooning my STI. Maybe I'll finally push my skill too far and chuck it into a tree, though? Then I'd be fine getting a BRZ.
What they're not telling you is that the electric motor is actually powered by a generator hooked up to the corpse of Ayrton Senna, who engineers calculate is spinning in his grave with enough force to add almost 100 horsepower to every "NSX" sold.
Soooo... the only thing that makes it an NSX is the name, then? No, you know, respect for the legacy or anything?
If I have to choose.... SAVE THE GTs!
The last verse made it gold. Well done!
No objection. The C6 looks pretty, but there wasn't a strong jump in style between C4, 5 or 6.
Yup. I rode a 125cc on the same track as 1000cc bikes and flew past me all the time. Of course, if I came up on a turn the same time as them, I knew I could beat their entry speed and pass them on the outside with plenty of space. Add lightness, etc.
I'm always amazed when a "dull" company has a remarkable racing division. VW makes a ton of four-wheeled quaaludes but then swings for the fences in Dakar? Maybe making beetles is like their "day job" they do to pay the bills?
I like your style.
Jalopnik caters to car aficionados of all levels of gearheadedness. I love cars and love to drive them but I haven't had the chance to do much wrenching on any of mine, so these videos are fascinating to me - to say nothing of their old-timey charm.
Group B era Audi v. Lancia, maybe? Getting 400hp out of a <2.0L engine 25 years ago... that's not the kind of thing a company just does on a lark.
The whole political correctness movement seems to be based around "if you can't change how you think, change what you say". Racist people (for example) have the remarkable ability to make the phrase "african american" positively drip with the same amount of scorn they'd use when saying a derogatory term. You're right;…
My brother's got one (they make it in a manual!) and he likes it. It's basically as much storage as a typical SUV owner and their kids actually need, as opposed to the amount they think they need. I'd love to see the Countryman take off, because I know that every one I see is one less bloated…

From the article: "Tweak the suspension, flash a computer, blueprint an engine, add extra sound deadening? Based on our past experiences, all these things and more have occurred."
If you start by assuming all ads are complete fabrications, you're never surprised by this type of thing.
My take-away from this article is that I can teach a dog to drive. I'm gonna put a greyhound in front of my GT5 + wheel setup and see if I can make him the next Senna.
