Drive a hearse instead?

Ever since I linked my girlfriend to one of Jalopnik's "10 small British cars" (or whatever) articles, she's wanted a Triumph Spitfire, so if I ever get the garage space, I think that'll be it.

@geistkoenig: That's the quad with the STi drivetrain, I believe. Some unrelated research led me to discover you can get the STi engine / transmission brand new for around 16 grand (I was hoping to make a dune buggy that I could potentially share parts with my daily driver).

@sixt9coug loves his rimblow: Remember, this is in San Francisco - you can't buy anything more than a shack with no door for half a mil.

@With.a.G: Does GT5 have the livery creator like Forza? 'Cause if so, I got two words for ya: Gulf. Oil.

@monkeybusiness: Well, if I was mayor I'd have just set fire to the place. Two birds with one stone and what not.

@Isetta: The kicker is that it's actually the correct answer.

You see poor handling and skidpad ratings, I see cheap cars to hoon around in. Maybe I'll see if I can drift my girlfriend's Yaris....

@zenpoet: Nah, man - this is Squarewave, the hippest new indie-minimalist irony band to come out of Oslo in twenty years!

@johnny: Cute dress, though.

@clientized: I'm going to print your reply out, poster size, and put it on my wall to constantly remind me that I need to get my bike running again.

@brandegee: Drive a bicycle daily and savor your car?

I was hoping for at least ONE small burnout. Does that make me an uncultured troglodyte?

@MirrorForTheSun: Song selection, mate. Lots more range, more female vocalists, etc.

I'm impressed that he was able to get it back in line from fully perpendicular and airborne. I thought for sure he was just going to let it slide to a stop sideways.

@dal20402: "Yeah, you think your 300 look like a Bentley... until a REAL Bentley roll up." - Katt Williams

@Socialvegetable: Dirt 2 did indeed have a whole bunch of pop culture trash in it, but it remains an astounding game. I can only expect more of both from Dirt 3, but I'm not one to let other people's lack of taste stand in the way of something I enjoy.

@solracer: Yeah, but the battery power required dump that much juice into a car's frame would be so large that you'd need some serious force to launch it at the car... and at that point it would probably just work better as a pieec of regular ol' rocket propelled ordinance.
