@2ndGearSuperhero: Yeah, I had to give up the Ducati because I didn't have the know-how or the room to fix it and I couldn't afford to have it fixed / maintained by certified techs. After that, I vowed to not make that mistake again.
Lotus Elise. I really want one but I can't talk myself into it because I'm sure the bills would be nightmarish. Plus, if you've ever sat inside one you know it's a ridiculously spartan aluminum tub with carbon fiber seats and little else. And my girlfriend might be too tall to actually ride in it comfortably.
@LuckyChuck asks, What's the opposite of oppositelock?: This is my answer if I'm allowed to go with cars I can't afford.
@SawtoothGrin: I'm a lefty who plays bass - though I'm so poor at it that I hesitate to call it playing. It always seemed to me like you could use your lefty-ness as an asset, since you already have good dexterity in your fret hand.
@OG_: I can practically hear it say "No disassemble!"
@RB26Skyline: Yeah, f'real. As a Subaru owner, I never thought I'd be jealous of a rally package for Ford - not in the States, anyway.
Yeah? Well, I claim that my prototype electric car gets three hundred miles to a charge and can do zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds and will only cost $130k.
@Garland137: I usually agree, but I there are a few exceptions. I got a great deal on my (new at the time) '07 STI because the dealership wanted to unload it before the '08 bodystyle change (I did not tell them I was buying it BECAUSE of the bodystyle change). The thing's been running like a dream through a few…
@CABEZAGRANDE: Unless you're an idiot who buys one used for cheap because you've always wanted one and then has to pay four grand to get a spun bearing fixed in less than a year.
@deep_fryed: That's a great link that needs its formatting slightly fixed. :)
@GunkScraper: Skilled painters reproducing the appearance of rust makes sense, but actual rust is a corrosive effect, right? Putting a clearcoat on it would prevent additional surface rust, but wouldn't the existing rust continue to eat away at the metal underneath?
Honest question: how to people do this rat-rod rust look without a) getting tetanus or b) have great holes eaten in their sheet metal?
@Ayeco: That's because the Ferraris and Lambos build nothing but stylish cars, but the GT is so unlike anything else Ford has ever made or is likely to make again. It's like a glimpse into an alternate reality, one where Ford makes nothing but brilliantly designed supercars and Aston Martin cranks out spartan, beige…
@Stoatmaster is Hedy Lamarr: Yeah... yeah.
For a while, I was afraid I was a hipster; it turns out I just have terrible taste.
@rattmobbins: Right, I always forget how wealthy people think. More dollars equals more better.
@600 Pounds of Pumpkins: I think he was speaking in terms of volume.
@Zaphod_Has_a_Heart_of_gold: It's Ash's game, we're just playing it.
