You can use R2, I think it is, to hold and you can look further if I'm not mistaken.

I much prefer it on the Vita, and I have it on the PC and PS3 as well! The tight, twin-sticks work really good, much better than the PS3 especially, surprisingly. Buying Hotline Miami 2 primarily for my Vita.
