As for Romania: Yup.
As for Romania: Yup.
That is probably actually an intended effect.
God, think about the women who need anti-depressants or anti-anxiety meds during pregnancy. So far most of the time the risk of harm to the mother outweighs the risk of harm to the fetus, but now if things go sideways and you’re in the wrong state...
A problem with this, of course, being that pro-life women like Gov. Kay Ivey are quite unlikely end up in that position. Funny how women’s attitudes on these issues often become more conservative as they age out of their childbearing years.
Here’s the problem... these women will have someone by their side saying this was a “wanted” pregnancy. There will be medical records that establish their “bona fides,”if you will, establishing that they’re not “one of THOSE women.” It’s much easier to target and prosecute women without the means to get to a doctor…

I’ve said so many times that it’s a miracle humans have lasted this long, given how often our bodies have no idea what to do during pregnancy, childbirth and child-rearing (specifically breastfeeding). Criminalizing something that happens naturally all the time isn’t going to end well.
It’s all about controlling women. A journalist asked State Senator Chambliss —the man who sponsored the atrocious Alabama bill—about the embryos that are disposed of every year at fertility clinics. He said “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply. It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant.”
What’s up with the “Free Sitch” shirt? He committed a crime, was found guilty and was given a reasonable prison sentence for that crime. His wife should have a “Sitch, Make Better Decisions, Please” shirt instead.
I’m guessing your parents are still alive and/or assholes?
On the bright side I get a nice evening buzz on much less wine. Cheaper.
I see Jamil’s replies are filled almost exclusively with the usual WASP Evangelical GOP Pro-Restriction crowd with the usual hand-wringing claims that “The Child” could’ve gone to the home of a sweet adoptive couple like those who can’t have children.
Oh people can come up with statistics to prove anything PieBrain. Forty percent of all people know that.
Good lord what a selfish ASS to do that to that woman.
And obviously the set of people who apply to be on the show is going to be incredibly biased towards single people. Someone should’ve taken intro to stats in college.
I’m not 110% sure the math is working out here.
50% of people in the US between 25 and 54 are women. Therefore 50% of contestants are women?
Bill Nye gives good rant

Invite him back, John.
Just, please Kardis, make with the damn vaccines already. And maybe put a picture of the little ones getting injected on the ‘gram, hmm?
Between Darren Aronofsky and the art parties Cooke Maroney must go to, I think I would die of pretension.
