I agree. I chose not to BF and for a second had that a "Should I be mad at this?" moment at the finale about whether Hannah's moment or redemption had anything to do with ME (spoiler: it didn't.) But Hannah's mom/the doc repped the "Fed is best" message and Marnie's obnoxiousness repped how insufferable sanctimommies

We took our kid to see it and maybe because our expectations were SO low we ended up enjoying it and even got a little emotional at the big brother/little brother thing. Maybe going to a movie with a 4 year old is like seeing a movie on a plane and you just end up crying/liking it more than you would under normal

I disagree—I think Ray's attraction to Marnie is his greatest weakness and they deserve each other to some extent. From my perspective he's that smart/nice/normal-looking guy a smart/nice/normal-looking girl gets her hopes up over until she realizes he only has eyes for the super-hot crazy girl that's out of his

I'm curious about the show's decision to paint the Queen Mum in a pretty unforgiving light. I read a big biography of her a few years ago and while she doesn't sound perfect (the next episode touches upon her disinterest in education) she struck me as a sympathetic, even fun-loving soul.

Beverly Cleary; Michael Jordan; Elvis Costello; David Sedaris (in order of their receipt.)

I'm listening to the Huey Lewis WTF right now and it's fantastic. What an interesting, gracious, intelligent guy.

I think I would like "Community" fine if it started like this (although obviously not as much.) It's unfortunately just feeling like it's running in a "lower" gear. It's like when your full fat chips get replaced suddenly with lowfat chips. They're still…good but not quite as delicious as before.

It must be a challenge, and I admire him for being available to his fans despite what he's going through and the press he gets.

I read that too but I think we're currently watching the extra episodes? I may be wrong.
