Glasgow's new riverside transport museum looks pretty good, it opened last year and contains some of the metal including a jaguar V12 cutaway that really got me into cars back when it was all stored in a glorified warehouse.

As you say they are designed to do that, but area around the driver is designed to stay in one piece and protect them.
