I feel like a case could be made for the suicide doors to make it to production. In an urban environment, wouldn’t it be safer if a motorist opened a suicide door, as opposed to a traditionally hinged door, into the path of a cyclist (or vehicle) ? the door would deflect back closed instead of pull open and bend…

She met her end far too soon. An Armada blew through a stop sign directly in front of me and I couldn’t stop.
