I am not a "liberal" and thought the fox article was ridiculous nonsense.

I believe the declaration of war was placed in last month's Good Housekeeping.

I can't decide if that was intentional or semi-intentional, but yes that's exactly what I meant by female aggressive behaviour.

Indeed it was!

I don't think I was missing the point entirely, I was making a new one, but you do make a very good argument. Marginalized groups remain to be so on the internet regardless of the like-mindedness of view points. I think it all just goes to show this new niceness is kind of BS.

Oh I see what you mean. I guess there's a time and a place for those kinds of things, as well as better and worse ways to go about it. I know for myself when you're passionate about something it's hard not to become upset when someone with a diametrically opposed view says something that seems inflammatory.

Perhaps!

Oh sweetie, Liberals aren't nicer than Conservatives, but that's an argument for another day.

Well that sounds awful. I see what you mean about Devil's Advocate, buuut, I think it is exposure to other view points that allows us to be more open and accepting to others' view points. Like how they say racism can be changed by actually meeting people of other races. I don't want to really play Devil's Advocate,

Dating someone with differing political views was the best thing I've ever done. It taught me to examine my own beliefs in order to explain them to someone else. I've learned a lot by exposing myself to differing views; filtering out anyone who might disagree with you sounds like a recipe for ignorance.

Oh I wasn't trying to refute your argument, I was only adding to it. I just meant that maybe the thesis isn't that women aren't included in the new niceness, but that the new niceness excludes anyone who disagrees with whatever the majority on that website think.

It's not just women - it's anyone perceived to be where they don't belong. If I make a statement on this website supporting conservatives, I get 25 replies from upset people. Now of course most just disagree and aren't outright rude, but every 10th comment or so is very aggressive. I'm not singling this website out at

Ugh it's implanon, which after 2 years of major depression, random periods and breakthrough bleeding, I am getting removed next week.

Well, I tend to agree with you about this being a little sexist or gender normative or what have you, but at the same time, perhaps this is a move in the right direction for a society that may take a few decades to be less split along the gender lines. Debbie does address this, sort of, by saying that she recognizes

I agree with the Cricut suggestion, and I would also like to recommend for the beginner sewer, the book "Sewing in a Straight Line" by Brett Bara. Also, a nice cordless drill would be a good gift as I use mine almost every day for random tasks, crafty or around the house. You can find cheap ones for $20 or get a

You know, many republicans are very nice people who willingly donate to charity and give their money away - they only object to the forceful taking of their property to give to others.

Well I thought it was sweet.

I'm going through the same thing with my bf. It can be really frustrating, because I thought his always taking everything in stride and being so steady was a trait of his, not the pot Oh well

Work it!

True - being a muscular body type can be frustrating. Even when I had eating disorders, I was never smaller than a 6/8 and I was really pushing myself. I am so much happier at 10/12. I just judge myself by how my clothing fits, and if I can make it up the stairs without being winded. My new friends are still smaller
