I’ve had my fair share of grief but to say it’s wrong to ask a fellow human being “how are you?” is being waaaaay too sensitive. Be glad that somebody cares enough to ask and answer honestly with how you actually feel. This seems to actually encourage grieving folk to reply with “you’re not supposed to ASK me that!!”.
